I attest to that feeling, thank God phones are accessible nowadays. I just purchased a new cellphone with a well trusted brand, panasonic. at first I was hesitant to buy one, because as you know, some other popular brands are much more commonly used by people. good thing it wasn’t much of a regret getting one. for a change, I wanted a phone that looks different from what people usually use now, like nokia, blackberry or iPhones. being a newbie, reading the instruction manual panasonic phone did help me eat up my ignorance on it. the phone’s indeed user friendly, though it looks a bit complicated to use. the brands of cellphones used doesn’t matter to me. as long as I can call, text or view the web through it, i’m contented. besides, that’s all that matters. purchasing cellphones won’t be much of a fashion statement anymore, it’s simply getting connected to communicate with your loved ones.

Sometimes when you move on to new things you tend to forget the old ones and this is exactly what I encountered. I was given a new computer last year and it had come with all the new software packages installed on it. Earlier I used to work on MS Office 2003 software and I was quite comfortable with it but when my new computer arrived I found that it was loaded with MS Office 2007 so I had to adapt to the change. Over a period of time I was quite comfortable using all the programs of MS Office 2007 and I felt it was much better than the older version. One day when I was in office and working on my colleague’s computer I got stuck up because he was using a 2003 version of MS office. So when I wanted to add some conditional formatting to an excel file I didn’t know where to look for and felt that I needed help with excel 2003. On the excel 2007 I could easily find it but since I was out of touch of the older version it took me some time. This made me feel that sometimes it is better to use a similar package what others are using in your office.
