Classic Guitar Tunes You Can Learn
Thursday, January 19th, 2012
We have seen increasing interest concerning easy guitar songs for beginners online. Given that reality, we thought this Monday morning would be the perfect time to write about our discoveries. As is often the case with articles like this, intellectual property restrictions prevent us from talking about specific names of musicians or song names. However, a specialist in guitar lessons writes that he has a short list of five songs. That is just a handful, so mastering all or a few of them should be within reasonably easy reach of even a novice guitarist. He has an informative video online at the website that might offer you some insight into building your skill with the guitar. These are all songs we recognize and have heard before, even though our music tastes are not strictly for guitar rock. These are popular tunes from legendary rock and classic rock bands that have received extensive radio airplay over the last four decades.

Move Away from the Lies
Monday, December 12th, 2011
There are a lot of reviews out there on digital pianos, which are just bad. They are written by amateurs who don’t actually know much about digital pianos. If you want to find ones that are actually helpful and written by a professional, then go to this site: http://www.thedigitalpiano.net/.
I guess I shouldn’t be so harsh as to call these people liars. They are simply misinformed. I guess they feel as if they are very knowledgeable on this subject, but digital pianos are actually very complicating instruments. It takes years and years of practice with both digital pianos and acoustic pianos to make a correct and informative review. As a result, you really need to look into a different site. You need to look into one that was written by a professional.
Anyway, I know that it’s hard to distinguish good information from the bad ones for beginners so I will try to help you out. The site that I mentioned is a great way to learn about digital pianos. Just make sure that you stay away from the misinformed reviewers.

For Good Reviews, See Rob’s Ukulele Reviews
Sunday, December 4th, 2011
I went to Hawai’i on vacation a while back, and it was fantastic. The scenery was gorgeous, the weather was perfect, the food and the atmosphere were divine. I’d go every year if I could afford it. Sadly, I don’t have that kind of money. But I can bring a couple island comforts home to me. In addition to eating lots of pineapple, I decided to look into purchasing a ukulele of my very own (My husband isn’t thrilled about this). But there aren’t any music shops in the small town where I live, so there’s no way for me to try a ukulele before I buy. I can order a ukulele off the Internet, but how can I be sure it’s the right ukulele for me? I did some Internet searching and found a website, Rob’s Ukulele Reviews. Rob is a beginning ukulele player himself, and he writes great reviews showing the pros and cons of various ukuleles. Rob’s Ukulele Reviews helped me pick which instrument to buy. Thanks!

The DigiTech RP255 My Gig Saving Guitar Effects Pedal
Thursday, November 10th, 2011
Have you ever experienced having a gig and realized too late that you forgot your guitar effects? Well I did, and that was when the DigiTech RP255 saved me and my band from utter shame. I have always considered myself a bit slow when it comes to learning new things. That is why I only invest on a single guitar effects pedal and spend a lot of time trying to master how to optimize it to suit my own sound. During the gig where I forgot my effects, I ended up borrowing an RP255 as a desperate solution. That was the time when it surprised me and pretty much saved me from rock n’ roll disaster.
The one thing that saved me was the ease of operating the DigiTech RP255. Most guitar effects processors need a bit of time to settle in, especially for a slow learner like me. With the RP255 however, all it took was a few simple instructions on how to play with its effects parameters and I was able to adjust it accordingly to my specifications. That was really the one thing that blew me away. After that gig, I was pretty much sold with the guitar pedal that I was going to buy next.

Why a Home Recording Studio is a Good Investment for Any Musician
Sunday, October 16th, 2011
Music can be a hobby or a profession, but for those who spend their time creating it, it’s nearly always a labor of love. When your love for music demands that you transform your music-making from hobby into profession, you may want to consider having a home recording studio. Even a devoted hobbyist can use a studio in their home, of course, as a way to share higher-quality music with friends, family or the whole wide world. Having a home recording studio allows you to make your own recordings easily, without having to pay someone else to borrow their studio, and it will allow you to release your own albums, songs and compositions at less cost to you. A home studio is also available for use at any time of day or night, and there’s no travel time to get there. Having your own studio will also help you become more educated and informed about the process of recording and mixing music, and being able to record yourself and listen to it later can also help improve your skills. The home studio is a great way for you as a musician to expand your musical horizons and abilities while also expanding your ability to share music with others. It’s a good investment for any musician who wants to do more than play live all the time.

What We Do After Work
Wednesday, July 27th, 2011
Recently, I decided that I was going to start dropping by the tech house after workyou know, to blow off some steam. My wife doesn’t work a synchronous shift, so the house is always empty for two hours anyway. It’s just boring sitting around and doing nothing, waiting for dinner. I figured that I could make better use of my time by having some funand maybe a few drinkswith my friends. Sometimes, we end up staying for longer than we’d planned, so my wife will come join in on the fun. I guess you could say that it’s becoming a tradition of ours. We’re actually getting pretty good at dancing, and we’re starting to meet some regulars who we also enjoy hanging out with. If we’re not careful, we’re just going to start living in the club instead of going home after work! Actually, I guess that wouldn’t be so bad!

Fur Elise – Good or Not for the Piano?
Friday, February 18th, 2011
If you haven’t already, try download the Fur Elise sheet music. It’s Beethoven’s perhaps best known piece that was composed hundreds of years ago! It’s so famous that it’s used in many movies worldwide and it’s a top-choice for music teachers who want to teach students how to play the piano. There are many versions for that song ranging from beginner-level to very advances.
Many musicians also enjoy editing the original music to suit his or her style. As a matter of fact, many believe that the best way to play is to feel the music. I’m not talking about playing the music note by note as it’s written, but actually accommodating the notes to suit the author’s style.
Some authors prefer fast-paced tracks whereas others might prefer to play Fur Elise much slower. There are also variations based on the actual notes. Some prefer to play it in a different sound altogether (or whether to play it in a piano or keyboard).

To Young to Start to Learn Guitar
Monday, December 13th, 2010
I am all for children learning an instrument; but how young is to young? My husband plays the guitar, piano and drums. Not at the same time of course; but he is proficient on each of them. Now he wants my son to take guitar lessons. I have been putting this off for so long because I think 8 years old is to young to start to learn guitar. But my husbands debate on it is that he began when he was 6 years old. I wander how much of a childhood my husband lost always in some kind of lesson here or there. I do not want my son to lose out on anything, I want him to be a kid while he is a kid. I guess the best thing to do is talk to my son and see what he wants. If he wants to begin lessons now then by all means I sure will embrace it.

Wedding Venues That Have Sound Limiters and Wedding Bands
Friday, October 15th, 2010
The wedding venue won’t want to advertise the fact that they have a sound limiter and that if the client wants to book a live band, that the evening’s entertainment will probably be ruined with the band trying to play really quietly all night. So if you are booking a wedding venue, always check to see if they have one in place. The usual sound level for a live band is about 110db upwards. Some wedding venues have their sound limiter set at about 88db in the lowest cases and 95db in the more accomodating places. If you do go ahead and absolutley have to use a wedding venue in particular and still want a live band then the Rocksters can help out. They are one of the most professional wedding bands on the circuit and can bring along an electric drum kit which will help to keep the sound level just below the sound limiters cut off point.
