The Beat the Odds and Are Some of the Best

It is really possible for anyone to beat the odds. I worked as a gym teacher at a local high school in St. Louis. I was very distressed by the lack of care and concern for so many of the young high school girls in my school. I really did not have that much time to help them out, but I decided that I had to do something to better their lives. I started a volleyball team, and we would practice after school every day. I would only choose the girls that I would really show that they wanted to achieve a lot in life, and that needed an extracurricular activity. The volleyball team practiced often, and the girls actually worked great. We started to compete with other local schools and the girls started winning all sorts of championships. Last year the girls on my team were invited to the volleyball St. Louis competition. It was really an honor to be invited to the volleyball St. Louis competition, because only the best teams get invited there. At first the girls on my team were very nervous, because they felt like they were not good enough to compete on a state level. I encourage my girls, and I reminded them of how much work they had gone through to get to where they were. We all ended up going to the competition, and my girls worked as hard as they could in their sports. To our surprise we actually won second place in state, and we were also very proud of ourselves. The girls on my team have worked harder than any other team, not only because they really wanted to win, but because they’d had to go through a lot of challenges to be able to play volleyball. The example of the girls on my team is proof that really anybody can beat all odds and become a champion.

I was looking forward to trying out my list. I am a pretty organized person and I tend to make lists for most everything. I know some people see that as being obsessive compulsive, but I see it as being organized and not missing a beat. With my current list, I was going to be able to see everything that I wanted to see while in Adelaide as well as eat at the places I wanted to eat at. I didn’t have to wait until I found something good to do or eat since I have already done my research. This saves me time and usually keeps me from having a horrible experience. I did an online search for tourist attractions and restaurants Adelaide and was able to find several of each. I was there for three days and was able to do everything that I wanted to do, and eat everything that I wanted to eat too. Lists are good!

On second thoughts, they might be a bit cold by the time they get down the end of The Mall and maybe she has her own favourite takeaway London wise. I know there’s an Indian on Brick Lane that Prince Charles says is the best and they still have the tape of him saying so on GLR to prove it although I suspect his qualifications for being an Indian food critic are as well founded as his qualifications in architecture.

The more I think about it the more I think I could go a curry for Christmas. Look at it logically, Do you actually like Brussels, turnips, swede and dry turkey? Do you enjoy the hours of prep and cooking just to dole it out to a bunch of half cut family members and kids who are already full of chocolate and fizzy pop? Can you count on help with the washing up and clearing the table? Thought not. So why not lamb bhuna and chicken korma all round?
