The Steps Women Take After Delivering Disabled Kids

Monday, January 30th, 2012

It feels bad when you know that there still exist people who abandon their own children. Parents take all the pain they go through during their pregnancy, but after they have delivered, they decide to abandon their babies. This is very discouraging but then, I came to understand that these women do not just give up their babies, but they have reasons for doing that. After a woman has discovered that her baby is disabled, she gets shocked and can’t take bringing up a child who is disabled. There is a woman who was arrested for claiming disability benefits for her kid who was later discovered to be dead. The woman killed the child long ago but she still kept on benefiting from these benefits. It was such a surprise to the benefits agency and they could not help but put her to jail. She had done that for a very long time and the worst part is the fact that she had killed her child like two years ago without any one knowing, which means she got free benefits for two years.

There Are Unisex Names

Monday, December 12th, 2011

These are names that are used by both sexes. It is almost universal. Every naming system has such names. My name has put me in a situation where the question, What Does My Name Mean?’ has opened my eyes to the fact that discordance between the implied gender of a name and the gender of the name bearer could be a thing to really worry about. On account of my misleading name, I get placed in wrong groups almost as a habit. A look of surprise is inevitable whenever I introduce myself. I am female. Mine is one of the so-called unisex names. At least it is featured as a unisex name. The name is however better known to be masculine name. In fact my namesakes have always turned out to be males. I sometimes ask myself what it is with names that they so strongly segregate the sexes. Could you offer some help?

Choosing the Perfect Nursing Home

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011

I am driving my mom around today to select the perfect California nursing homes that she might be interested in. I know that there are just some things that I cannot choose for her, and I want to be sure that she likes what she gets. She is going to be staying there for the rest of her life, and I just think that it is an important thing to do. What matters the most is the fact that she can really enjoy herself in her new home. It is really too bad that I cannot provide for her, but I definitely think that she will appreciate my efforts to put her in a good home. My own home is just not big enough, and I think that this is something that I have to just accept. What really matters to me is the fact that I can really look at what is happening to my parents and really pay attention to what they want so that I can give them what they want and not feel guilty.

Assisted Living Portland: Freedom

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

Who wouldn’t want to see our older family members happy? These people are the ones who raised us to what we are now. We owe from them our lives and they deserve to get better attention than just being left alone in the house.

As they get old, they develop manifestations that only doctors can decipher. And as we leave the house quite often either for work or leisure, nobody attends to their needs. And with this in mind, consider getting them into a home that would care for all their needs.

It’s not that we are getting rid of our loved ones, it’s all because we love them and we cannot afford to put them to neglect. People at assisted living portland can give just what we lack time to give; they take privilege in doing our work and act as surrogates to our elders. And what makes them different from other nursing homes is–freedom.

Have This One

Friday, July 29th, 2011

I was surprised to see that more companies now are offering dental plans for seniors. Before, only a few companies have this one. I am glad that now, people have more choices. Many would ask, why dental insurance? Why not? People often neglect their dental health. They don’t realize that there are plenty of old age illnesses related to your dental condition. It’s really important to pay attention to this aspect of our health.

I am also hoping that I’d be able to find the right medical travel insurance for me. Do you have any suggestions? I don’t exactly know what to get and there are so many choice. It’s giving me a headache already. Anyway, I hope somebody can help me.

I know that with the right insurance, one can actually feel more secure. I am truly looking forward to finally getting what I am looking for. Thanks again.

Difference Between Cremation and Burial

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

Cremation is the process of burning the corpse of a deceased person in an extremely high temperature that lasts for 3 to 4 hours. If you are to compare it with burial, it is the usual and most common way of disposing the body of a deceased person. Both are ways of disposing the corpse, but they do linger in a two different paradigm.

Cremating is practiced to eradicate any breakouts of disease in case the person died with highly contagious disease.

Burying is practiced and was popularized by Roman Catholic Church. The reason of which is entirely biblical.

Cremating a loved one is more economical and practical. The difference is drastic if you are planning neither wake nor visitation in a funeral.

Burial requires a land contract with a cemetery which makes it more expensive, whereas crematory services only need an urn. You may also want an ash garden if you wished to have the ashes scattered instead of having it stored in an urn.

But whichever you choose, the most important thing you need to know is how to give the best farewell to your loved one. Fanciness in funeral is not important, what counts most is the thought and how you remembered the person who passed away.

My Mum is Afraid of Traveling

Monday, April 18th, 2011

Mum is affair dot travel because she watches television and sees pictures of places that scare her. Is there any truth in the statement that travel insurance for seniors makes older people feel safer? I hope so because I would like to send her on a trip somewhere and not have to think about her ever again. Or my Dad for that matter, they are both able to go and never come back. That would be incredible power don’t you think? I know that I said I would be nice to them but I lied and really I have an evil plan to make them my slaves, giving me all their money and house and cars and then making it so that I never had to work again. I would be self-sufficient and be able to not worry about my next pay cheque. Yippee, lets go and have some fun in the middle of the jungle.

Giving Benefits to Those Outside the Country

Friday, October 1st, 2010

I have noticed that the benefits you get when you reside in your country may necessarily not reach you while you move to another country and that seem very logical because if you are not going to be helping the country in anyway there is simply no point for them to continue giving you all that. How do you expect them to pay unemployment benefits out of country when they wouldn’t even know if you now have a job or not. Although there are several countries that still do that like Saudi Arabia but then they have enough money to sponsor themselves and their citizens for a life time. When you start asking a developing country to give benefits to those that reside outside the country , then of what gain is it and how can that not affect the economy negatively, it sure will. What really matters is that the country look out for their citizens no matter where they are . Being financially responsible for them is not such a good idea after all.

A Father’s Responsibility Is To His Family

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

When Joseph found him self unemployed, he became very worried. He had a wife and three kids to support. He immediately went to signup for his unemployment. As he filled out the paper work, he was asked if he wanted taxes held out of his weekly check. He wished there was an option to make unemployment benefits non taxable. He really needed the entire amount. However, he realized if he did not pay the taxes now he would just have to pay them later. The waiting period for his unemployment to start was a tough time. By the time the first check arrived, they were almost out of groceries. The rent was due in two days. The car was almost out of gas. That check came just in time. It took a month but Joseph finally found another job. He was glad he no longer needed his unemployment. He was very thankful it had been there though. When he started the new job, he made a vow to be more prepared just in case something like this happened again. His wife and kids were the most important thing in the world to him. He would do whatever he could to make sure they had what they needed.
