An Australian woman that died in a helicopter crash in in New York City was celebrating her 40th birthday, according to Affairs Minister Kevin Rudd. The woman was one of five people on board a private helicopter that crash into Manhattans East River.

The helicopter was taking off from a launch pad on the river bank Tuesday afternoon.
